Who We Serve
Renaissance serves people who are experiencing homelessness or at risk of becoming homeless due to housing instability and other factors. Most have struggled for years with homelessness, mental illness, substance use issues, hunger, chronic health conditions, and a wide range of disabilities. In 2024, Renaissance provided services to more than 4,300 people in Chicago, including individuals, families, seniors and veterans.
A staggering 46% of Chicago households are housing-cost burdened, paying more than 30% of their income for housing.
