Jim Scudder is a Managing Director of Community Development Lending at CIBC Bank USA. In his role Jim is responsible for the underwriting and origination of construction and permanent financing for affordable multifamily housing and community development projects across the bank’s CRA markets. Prior to joining CIBC he served as head of financial planning and analysis for the Illinois Housing Development Authority’s Asset Management Department. There he oversaw the financial management and long-term monitoring of the authority’s multifamily permanent loan portfolio.

Jim has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Augustana College, a Master of Urban Planning degree from the University of Kansas, and an MBA from DePaul University.
